Play Date

We'll seeing as how my day was completely free from work or errands I decided to load up Keeley, and her friend Collin, and take them out on a play date. This was not a typical day of running to Chuck E Cheese or Toys R Us.I planned a fun filled day of nature walks in the park as well as using my new camera for some photography fun and letting the kids play on the toys in playgrounds. I loaded the kids in my truck, and headed to one of the best local parks in our California community called Hart park. Hart Park located in with in the city limits of Bakersfield, California is packed full of history where it is peaceful, and serene while enjoying life's nature. With the Kern County River flowing through the park we often saw locals who came to fish for trout, catfish and bass. The kids were super excited to feed the ducks, and geese who came right up to us and let the kids know that they were hungry. Keeley was a little nervous at first when she had a geese eat right from her hand but laughed with excitement when she was able to accomplish her task .We were sure to have a fun and exciting day and thank god for the bread that I had remembered to grab at the last minute while heading out the door. We spent a good 4 hours enjoying the benefits of the park on a fun filled inexpensive play date. Oh yeah and did I mention the peacocks?

Christmas in January?

I know I know unthinkable right? Christmas in January that's crazy talk! Well, with the hum bug blog blues I have been neglecting to blog and share my wonderful pics with you. I finally uploaded a picture of my daughter all dresses up and ready for her Christmas dance recital. One day before her recital I received a call from a mom at dance class who was rather stressed at the fact that skirts that were ordered for our kids were not even made. She then asked if I was up to the challenge of supplying tutu skirts for six little girls. Boy oh boy is all I could think of. Do I have enough materials came to my mind first. Do I have enough time? Needless to say the call came in on a Thursday night around 10:00pm I had already been sewing for the past 6 hours straight making tutus that were ordered last minute as Christmas presents.I had to do this I couldn't let down my baby girl and all her friends. They had been practicing their routine for the past month to run run Rudolph. Here's a sneak peek at their outfits. Let me know what you think of them.

Blah Blah Blah Blog

It's been quite a while as I haven't had the time nor the desire to blog. Who knew blogging would be such a hard task at hand. Creativity flows from my mind and transforms in to precious work of art when I am creating girly things so how come it's so hard for me to sit down and put my thoughts on the computer? Is blogging jibberish ramblings of a woman going crazy at 12:39 am? I think so...... Who in their right mind would be willing to do this at this hour? Ummmmmmmmm Me of Course. So here it goes the update.

Just a Few Creations

Trying our hand at a few ,new ideas besides our signature series of Tutus & Tutu dresses we decided to break the mold and make embellished onesies, pillowcase dresses, baby blankets and doggie tutus in which by the way we sold out of instantly. Go figure! Alissa had been on my case for the past year trying to break down my guard so that I would cave in to her demands of apparel for little pooches. I just resisted with all my might. I absolutely could not, would not make tutus for animals! Or so I thought. Who would of thought that a little tulle attatched to some elastic would make the world go round for dog lovers. People all over town were asking us constantly to make these precious commodities for their little ones. With much hesitation I gave in to their demands and they were such a big hit. Here are a few pics of our sweet and lovely new creations.
